About pole shorts

Why do pole dancers wear shorts?

Skin grips the pole and fabric slides off it. Pole dancers wear fitted shorts so their thighs and the backs of their knees can make contact with the pole for climbs, holds, and inversions, while the shorts themselves stay secure through the movement.

Do beginners need special shorts for their first pole class?

No. For a first class, any snug, stretchy shorts work; studios mostly ask that your thighs are bare so you can grip. Purpose-made pole shorts matter more once you start climbs and inversions, where coverage, security, and staying in place under movement start to count.

Our styles

Which style has the most coverage?

The High-Waist Boy: a high rise with full boy-short seat coverage. The Mid-Waist Boy has the same full seat with a lower rise. From there the range steps down through the two Cheeky styles and the Mid V-Waist to the Bikini Thong, the smallest short we make.

What is the difference between cheeky and boy-short coverage?

Coverage at the back. A boy short covers the full seat; a cheeky cut covers part of it and shows more. Both leave the thighs bare for pole grip. Which one you want is purely personal preference, and plenty of dancers own both.

How does the preorder work?

Preordering reserves your pair before launch, and there is no payment until your order ships. You tell us your coverage preference and size, we make it in the first run, and we email you when it is ready.
